ABOUT THE BOOK
A Pod of Orcas was my first illustrated picture book. The idea for the book started on the shores of Vancouver Island with a counting game author Sheryl McFarlane played with her young children. The illustration inspiration came to me from the shores of Vancouver and West Vancouver. A lot of my favourite local scenery makes an appearance in the book – Lighthouse Park, Whytecliff Park, English Bay…
The book is rendered in pencil and watercolour on Arches 140lb cold press paper.

AWARDS AND HONOURS
A Pod of Orcas was a 2004 Ready, Set, Learn book. 3 year olds all around the province of B.C were invited to received a copy and begin reading at home with their families.
